Anna (Scorziello) Simpfenderfer, 87, of Windham, NY, formerly of Carlstadt, NJ, for 35 years, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020. She is survived by her only child, Carl (Susan) Simpfenderfer, three granddaughters, Stephanie, Samantha, and Susannah Simpfenderfer and many very special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Jaime-Lee Livardo Connor, Kaitlyn Livardo, and Rhiannon Livardo, in particular, were referred to by their Aunt Anna, as her first three granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her parents Dominick and Madeline Scorziello, siblings Jennie, Millie (Italy), Millie, Jennie, Gabriel, Antoinette, Rosie, and Nicky, and her husband of 46 years, Paul Simpfenderfer, who passed away in 1999.
Anna was a seamstress and later a crossing guard in Carlstadt. She loved her family and friends fiercely. Being a loving grandmother, mother, wife, aunt, sibling, daughter, and friend were her most treasured roles. No one loved children more than Anna, and her many years with the Carlstadt Recreation football and cheerleading programs were evidence of that. She retired from her crossing guard position in 1993. The Memorial Visitation has been cancelled due to the current health crisis. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.org.
