Joseph R. Saffioti, Jr. 65, life long resident of East Rutherford, passed away on March 31, 2020. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force. For 25 years, he was an A Class Journeyman Electrician working for Wittie Electric in Paterson. He was a member of the IBEW Local #102. Beloved father of Kasandra “Kasey” Smith and husband Dan, Frank Saffioti and wife Paige, Katlen “Katey” Saffioti, Theresa Palko and husband Justin and Joseph Saffioti. Cherished grandfather of Abby, Lilly, Isabelle and Nolan. Dear brother of Joni Martin and husband John, Thomas Saffioti and wife JoAnne and Linda Ferrara and husband Salvatore. Beloved companion of Jessica. Devoted son of the late Joseph and Jenny (nee Aluise) Saffioti. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Joe had an unwavering love for his family and especially loved his role as Nonno. He loved photography and was rarely seen without his camera in hand. He had a passion for food and you could always count on him for a good meal. He will be missed for his endless words of wisdom and ability to see the silver lining.

Cremation was private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either The GSB/CIDP Foundation International (https://www.gbs-cidp.org/) or Hackensack University Medical Center's COVID-19 Response Fund https://www.hackensackumc.org/donate/covid-19/
