It is true, Raymond was funny. Get togethers in Carlstadt with our Pedersen cousins was an event we absolutely loved.I sincerely wish I could be with all of you tomorrow. I remember my brother , Jim, telling stories about sleeping over with Raymond. Their antics were hysterical! Poor Uncle Charlie would be awake all night trying to get them to settle down. Jim and Raymond were great story tellers and major cut-ups. . Love to all, Cousin Noreen

Raymond was a very special person. I only met him a few times but his unique personality will remain in my thoughts forever. A special kind of person, Mental Health struggles made his journey thru life difficult. The love and support of this family made his journey lighter to handle. Please accept my sincerest sympathy and love to all of you during this very difficult time.

Dear Ray,
There is such a void in my heart that you are no longer with us but will always be in our hearts. I do feel you are in a better place. As a family we tried our best to help and take care of you and hope you know that.
When ever I met someone that knew you they always asked about you and told me what a great guy you were. I was proud when people told me how much they thought of you. I will always remember when I took you shopping how friendly you were to people always saying hello and asking their name. You have given us all a lot of happy and funny memories that we will be able to talk about. You may no longer physically be with us but will always be in our hearts. Love you forever, Lorraine

My Dear Brother Raymond,
Your life was certainly a dichotomy. Your early years were a very happy and carefree time. My observation was that the youthful you had the most mellow personality among us siblings of yours. Those were very good times. I enjoyed our family trips to the shore, playing chess with you, and our various sports interactions including track, baseball, basketball, and football. After your youthful years, you had much turmoil in your life. Mental illness imposed a harsh burden on you during much of your adult years. Life is not always fair, and I wish your journey through life could have been smoother. Experiencing you dealing with your affliction made it very obvious that current treatment methods for dealing with this illness are woefully inadequate. CBH Care is one organization that assisted you for many years. Thus our family deemed them to be an appropriate recipient for donations made to honor your memory. My regret is that I was unable to do more to make life better for you. Despite the ups and downs, we had some very nice times and happy memories. You are the only person that asked me to sing to them, and actually seemed to enjoy the song I made up for you! All of us siblings played various roles to assist you over the years. My role was probably that of a documentalist. As such, I have several printed and computer folders containing much of your personal information titled, “Raymond”, which I will retain as a keepsake. I trust that you are now in a better place, being with Mom and Dad, and having God to watch over you. I love you Ray and miss you.
Your Brother,

Janet Pedersen

My Dear Brother Ray,
I hope you enjoyed the Red Heart Balloon I sent up to you with my writing "Have a Blessed Day, A Ray of Sunshine" I love you! xoxo Your sister, Janet
With you in mind, I bought an Angel keychain with a Heart to keep you close to my heart.
We were blessed as a family, as you left us with such funny & wonderful stories/memories
which I like to call "A Ray of Sunshine". I find comfort in knowing you are with Mom & Dad again.
We were told by the medical examiner you more than likely passed on April 1st, April Fool's Day.
I had to smile thinking that's just like Ray, he loved jokes and laughter!
My last phone call on your birthday I reached your answering machine, to hear you say "This is Ray, Have a Blessed Day".
Wishing you a Blessed Eternity, with so much love. xoxo
Rest in Peace ~ Love your sister, Janet.
