Kim,
You might not remember me, but I was your mother’s “roomie” in the Christian Health Care Center while she worked on a new knee and I worked on a new hip.

I was so saddened to hear of her passing —- she was such a nice person. We kept in touch for a while after “liberation” but (as often happens) life gets in the way and it has been too long since I last spoke with her.

As I recall you were a wonderful , attentive, daughter (even bringing ME coffee!) and no mother could have asked for more help or devotion.

Once again, I am so sorry for your family’s loss....especially during this terrible virus-time when even the comfort of the Church is closed off. Please be assured of my prayers.

I might have been her daughter in law, but she always made me feel like her daughter. She was caring and kind and taught me a lot of life lessons that I will never forget. She was always there to help. Especially for those in need, she helped without having to be asked. It was just the way she was. Because she set an example of kindness and compassion, her legacy is that she passed this onto her children. All of them are kind the way she was. That is quite an accomplishment. I will miss her sense of humor, her common sense advice and her cooking.

But that does not even scratch the surface, I will miss her presence and the way she conducted her life. She lived her life with honesty and integrity, rare qualities especially today. These are just some of the highlights but there were so many others over the years.

If I was asked what authority figure I admire most, I would say Sally Kaiser because of her compassion for others and because she was what a mom was meant to be.

But it is not goodbye, it is see you later. Now you are singing in God's choir.

My nieces and nephew lost their caring and supportive mother; her grandchildren lost a loving grandmother, so many others lost a very caring and generous friend; I lost my very favorite sister-in-law, and friend. I know she is now with my brother Ted once again and they're catching up on time lost. To my nieces Terri and Kim, my nephew Todd, my heart aches for your loss. Love you, Sally--you were truly the best!
